About this course

This course prepares delegates for the BCS, Chartered Institute for IT certificate exam in Business Analysis Practice. The course includes 20 hours of expert tutor led classroom work and exam preparation, followed by a 1-hour classroom-based written exam. All materials and refreshments, including lunch, will be provided. Pre-course reading and home study work will be sent to delegates prior to the course.
Course Target: Senior and Junior Business Analysts working on software and non-software projects, change consultants, business managers and their staff, software developers, project managers and anyone else tasked with delivering project requirements, including either traditional Waterfall or more dynamic Agile working environments.

TL;DR: This course will teach you a working FRAMEWORK for understanding and analysing business problems. Learn techniques to analyse the internal and external environment of the organisation, how to manage and interact with stakeholders elicit real needs, develop a business case and manage risks, benefits and outcomes.

This course follows the BCS Business Analysis Practice syllabus (2017) course and prepares students to take the accompanying exam on the final day.

Pre-course reading will be emailed 2 weeks prior to the course start. Students should also acquire a copy of the following course accompanying book ‘BCS Business Analysis, 3rd Edition, Paul, Cadle and Yeates (ISBN 9781780172774).
